Barnardo’s 4 U services (B4U)

For U Advocacy

For U Advocacy provides issue based Advocacy support to Isle of Wight children and young people who are Looked After or on a Child Protection Plan.

The service is for children and young people from aged 5 years until they are of care leaver's age.

We offer one-to-one support and focus on the young person’s right to be heard and involved in decisions about them, explaining their wishes, and putting across their case.

With U Independent Visiting Service

With U provides support to children (aged 5 -18 years) who are looked after by the IOW local authority offering the support of an Independent Visitor Volunteer. Volunteers are carefully recruited and trained and matched with a young person.

Independent Visitors

Independant Visitors are volunteers who support, befriend, advise and assist a child or young person who may have little or no positive contact with members of their own family. They can take them on fun days out or do activities the young person enjoys.
