Who’s in Charge

The Who’s in Charge course aims to support you to believe in yourself and your parenting ability!

Saying parenting can be difficult is probably an understatement!

The Who's in Charge programme may be suitable for you if:

  • You feel you are struggling to maintain control,
  • and/or if you have lost parental control,
  • and/or if your child or young person is violent towards you physically and/or verbally,
  • and if you would like to regain parental control.

You are not alone. Many parents and carers have accessed the Who's in Charge sessions and through following this evidence based programme, have found their family environment to improve.

Programme Aims:

•To provide a supportive environment for parents and carers to share experiences and ideas,

• To reduce the guilt and shame which most may parents feel,

• To lessen deterministic thinking about causes,

• To offer simple ideas & concepts to help develop individual strategies for managing your child or young person's behaviour,

• To explore ways of increasing safety and well-being,

• To help parents and carers feel more in control and less stressed, and to feel empowered to make changes.
