Supporting Your Emotional Wellbeing

At times it may feel like you have no one to talk to and share what is worrying you.

Locally and nationally there are some really good support services you can contact and there will be someone to listen to you and help you.

The Isle of Wight Youth Trust offers you the opportunity to talk in confidence about any issues or problems you may be having, to help you try and find a way forward, through difficult times. Our service is completely  free for any young person aged 4-25 years on the Isle of Wight. If you are over the age of 13, you can see us without your parents consent. If you are under 13, we will require your parent/guardian's consent.
Young People - Isle of Wight Youth Trust

The Isle of Wight NHS Trust, Barnardo’s and the Isle of Wight Youth Trust have collaborated to deliver two Mental Health Support Teams in schools and colleges across the Island early 2022 with some schools starting in 2021.

The Mental Health Support Teams are an exciting addition to the mental health service on the island and will improve mental health and wellbeing of children and young people in the community, working with their parents, carers and schools.

Space 4 U is an out of hours support service for young people aged 11-17 on the Isle of Wight who are experiencing difficulties with their mental health and who need access to emotional and practical support. They offer online, telephone and open-access sessions for you to talk to someone in confidence about anything you might be going through. Youth Workers will support you in a safe space, help you to make positive changes with your mental health and well-being,  as well as signpost you to other sources of support. The service operates drop-in centres in Newport and Sandown areas on a weekly basis. They are a free service and there is minimal waiting time.
