Our Family Centre play sessions are for families who live on the Isle of Wight, with children aged 0-4

The sessions are run Term-Time only by our amazing team of volunteers who love planning and delivering fun activities for you and your children. Baby Play is for parents with babies 0 - 12 months and Family Play is for parents with children aged 0 - 4 years.

At our play sessions you and your child/ren can expect:

A warm welcome from our volunteer team.
A range of activities, toys and equipment that are safe, clean and suitable for all children 0 to 4 years.
A play space that has been fully safety checked.
The opportunity to play with your children, chat with other parents and carers in a relaxed and friendly environment.

All volunteers are checked to make sure that they are safe to work with children and have regular training sessions to keep them up to date and are supported by experienced staff.

Barnardo’s weekly Pop in Chat and Information Sessions 

Open for parents/carers (including those expecting a baby) to pop in to chat with our team and find out about support and services available.
Families can find out about our programmes and workshops, we can refer and signpost to different family services too.
We have breastfeeding support and visiting organisations at select pop-in sessions, which include Isle of Wight Youth Trust, Department for Work and Pensions(DWP) and Thrive Tribe - Smoke Free island.

Health Visitor Drop-in Clinics

The Health Visitor Drop-in sessions are held in the Family Hubs, and are supported by a Barnardos worker who is on hand to answer any questions about Family Hub’s services, give information on programmes and workshops and to give guidance and support on any aspect of family life. Some sessions also have infant feeding support and some have visiting professionals. You can keep up to date with ‘What’s on’ by visiting our Blog.

All sessions are drop-in, no need to book.
